AluLine in action 

See our AluLine milling cutters in action in our video. We worked with OPEN MIND to create a basket out of aluminum. Complex workpieces like this are made possible by an optimized machining strategy (hyperMILL) and the right tools.

An overview of the individual milling steps:

Machining:

  • Pre-roughing of outside profile
  • The rough shape of the basket can be seen
  • Maximum material removal
  • Clamping attachment for the 2nd clamping is milled

Machining:

  • Pre-roughing of outside profile
  • The net of the basket is already visible
  • Pre-roughing of the handles and recessed handles
  • Pre-roughing of the upper flange

Machining:

  • Pre-roughing of the net structure
  • All openings (netting) are machined

Machining:

  • 2nd clamping
  • Clamping in three-jaw chuck
  • Gradual rough machining, followed by finishing process

Machining:

  • Pre-finishing of the internal net in the lower part of the basket
  • Finishing of the base
