AluLine | solid carbide end milling cutter for machining aluminium

Machining aluminium and non-ferrous metals effectively? Achieve even better results thanks to optimized coating and geometry!

Short tool life when machining aluminium and non-ferrous metals belongs to the past: With the solid carbide end mills of the AluLine, you can manage even the most difficult tasks particularly efficiently. What makes this possible? Our special geometry and the ultra-smooth DLC coating are the perfect solution.

This is how the high-performance milling cutters of our AluLine impress:

  • Economical and process-secure machining of aluminium and non-ferrous metals.
Optimal performance thanks to the perfectly coordinated combination of geometry, substrate and coating.
  • Optimal/versatile tool selection for almost all applications in the machining of non-ferrous metals
With our product portfolio of around 2,500 articles only for non-ferrous metals, hardly any wishes remain unfulfilled.
  • Extremely long tool service life possible
Instead of sticking, our wear-resistant DLC coating quickly transports the chips out of the cutting zone and enormously extends the tool life.
Our AluLine milling cutter impresses with its outstanding coating. It achieves first-rate results even in dry machining.

We are keeping tool wear in a basket - the AluLine in Action

In the video you can see our AluLine milling cutters in action. In cooperation with OPEN MIND, we have produced an aluminium basket. The right combination of optimised machining strategy (hyperMILL) and the right tools is what makes such complex workpieces possible in the first place.

The individual milling steps at a glance:

  • AluLine endmill
  • 4 cutting edges, Ø 20mm
  • 3xDC cutting edge length
  • DLC coating

Machining:

  • Pre-roughing of the outer contour
  • Rough shape of the basket is already visible
  • Maximum material removal
  • Clamping attachment for the 2nd clamping is milled

Machining:

  • Pre-roughing of outer contour
  • Net already slightly visible
  • Roughing of handles and recessed grips
  • Roughing of the upper collar

Machining:

  • Pre-roughing of the net structure
  • All openings (net) are cut out
  • AluLine endmill
  • 4 cutting edges, Ø 20mm
  • 3xDC cutting edge length
  • DLC coating

Machining:

  • 2nd clamping
  • Clamping in three-jaw chuck
  • Stepwise roughing, with subsequent finishing process

Machining:

  • Pre-sizing of the net inner part in the lower basket section
  • Finishing the bottom

We are not the only ones who are convinced of the performance from our AluLine cutters - read what our customers have to say about it:

This @ceratizit Aluminium Cutter is definitely my all time favourite aluminium endmill !! Running at just over 9.000 mm feed, stepping over at 15% at a depth of 15mm this endmill can really move. I could push this so much harder if I had it in my Hydraulic holder. [...]

Aluminium machining

It is and remains a popular classic among lightweight materials: aluminium. What makes aluminium so popular, what positive properties and what pitfalls it brings with it in machining and especially in milling, we will show you in our article "Milling aluminium - how to succeed - 8 success factors for machining aluminium"
