Machining hip joint

An artificial hip joint replaces the joint between the thigh and pelvis. It consists of three main components: femoral stem, femoral head and hip socket.

The stem is inserted into the thigh bone (femur), creating a strong connection

Mimics the ball head in the hip joint with maximum precision

Forms the connection to the hip – the joint is able to move within the socket in all degrees of freedom

6. Special high-precision tapered reamer

Reaming tool for fine machining very tight angle and form tolerances

The special reamers can be used with an angle tolerance of up to 5' [angular minutes]. The particular advantage of these products is that they can produce holes that are both free of score marks and, at the same time, highly precise.
