The MaxiMill – Slot-SNHX is the ultimate in versatility and precision. Featuring interference-free contours on the end and good axial clearance, for example, this is the system for effortless machining even in hard-to-reach places. The precision-ground indexable inserts create a flat groove base, resulting in flawless surfaces from the very first cut. Furthermore, the system comes equipped with a through coolant supply for even greater efficiency.

The MaxiMill – Slot-SNHX tools also fare extremely well in competitor comparisons, as demonstrated by reverse side machining trials on ductile (SG) iron. While a competitor product managed to machine 200 components using a tool holder with a 100-mm diameter and six effective cutting edges (depth of cut: 3 mm, usage width: 42 mm), the CERATIZIT side and face milling cutter more than settled the score, upping the tool life to 600 pieces with a solution with five effective teeth. All this comes down to improved handling thanks to the large indexable insert clamping screw, a softer cut due to the ground cutting edge, and a streamlined setup with fewer indexable inserts than our competitors—not to mention significantly longer tool life.

Versatile range of tool holders with three versions for universal connection

The MaxiMill – Slot-SNHX comes in three holder versions for connection to practically any tool. With the face mill version, the diameter of the side and face milling cutter ranges from 80 200 mm, always with a through coolant supply. This version comes in cutting widths (CW) of 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, and 16 mm. A screw-in cutter version with a through coolant supply offers diameters of 50 mm, 63 mm, and 80 mm and cutting widths of 6 mm and 8 mm. The milling cutter with cylindrical shank and a through coolant supply is available in diameters of 50 mm, 63 mm, 80 mm, and 100 mm and cutting widths (CW) of 6 mm and 8 mm. ​

To supplement the MaxiMill – Slot-SNHX, we also offer the MaxiMill – Slot-SX for smaller dimensions, which closes the gap in our side and face milling cutter range by covering cutting widths (CW) of 2–6 mm.

Try combining the MaxiMill – Slot-SNHX with a vibration-damped transverse slot shell mill adapter for maximum efficiency, as a special damping mechanism in the body of the vibration-damped transverse slot shell mill adapter effectively minimizes any vibrations generated while working. This feature results in significantly enhanced surface qualities and higher productivity with long overhangs in particular, as you don't have to think twice before taking the cutting speed or feed rate up a notch.

Are long overhangs a fact of life, but intense vibrations are making things difficult? Our transverse slot shell mill adapter with active vibration damping, including an installed Densimet core, lets you minimize vibrations and thereby increase the tool life—which also results in significantly higher surface quality.
